Mushrooms in the News: 11-21-2022

Mushrooms are trending on menus for 2023. Af & Co. – highly respected foodservice trend prognosticators – named mushrooms a top trend for next year.  Coverage in Nation’s Restaurant News noted: “Creative chefs looking for meaty alternatives to actual meat have long favored mushrooms.”

Though the days are growing shorter, media’s love for mushrooms continues to grow. Mushrooms were integral to many holiday and seasonal meal prep articles this past week, namely within Mashed,  Victoria, EatingWell, US Weekly, Parade and Cheapism.

Vegetarian meals were also at the forefront of the media’s minds. The Washington Post, The New York Times, Tasting Table, KARE11 (Minneapolis) and Cuisine at Home all shared satisfying vegetarian recipes.
