Foodservice outlet Catersource highlighted five recipes chefs could create to celebrate Mushroom Monday. In its weekly Recipe Friday feature, Catersource noted:  “Mushroom Monday is a day each week when we can all gather around the plate to enjoy one of the most delicious, nutritious and Earth-friendly foods: the fresh mushroom. Celebrate this weekly tradition at your favorite restaurant, in your home kitchen or at your local grocery store.”

Whether it’s Mushroom Monday or Taco Tuesday, mushrooms and tacos go hand and hand.  Real Simple and Delish, showcased mushrooms as an ideal taco stuffing. First Real Simple, “Meaty mushrooms and corn take the place of ground beef in these vegan-friendly tacos.” Next Delish, “Mushroom lovers alert: Summer taco nights just got upgraded.”
