Mushrooms in the News: 6-7-19
This week, Good Housekeeping shared the nutritional benefits of mushrooms in an article titled “6 Surprising Mushroom Health Benefits for Your Skin, Brain, and Bones.” The article cites sports nutritionist, Mitzi Dulan, who states that mushrooms “contain many minerals, like selenium, potassium, copper, iron and phosphorus, that are not often found in plant-derived foods.” Dulan closes the story by calling out The Blend technique as a way to eat more mushrooms.
As we enter the second week of the Blended Burger Project, local market coverage was high in markets such as Orlando, Minneapolis, Miami, Baton Rouge, and Greensboro, N.C.
