Mushroom Council’s Mushroom Month promotions continued to receive coverage in Produce Blue Book and Produce News at the end of last week.

The increased demand and sales in fresh mushrooms in recent months is expected to continue among home cooks. “Mushrooms have been enjoying sky-high demand at U.S. retail since the pandemic took hold, amid hopes that sales will carry over to foodservice,” notes Fresh Fruit Portal. 

Additionally, the impressive mushrooms sales at retail were mentioned on Winsight Grocery Business: “Mushrooms have been a pandemic powerhouse in retail, with top 10 appearances every single week.”
