Food Business News highlighted a blind taste test of 1,192 omnivores and flexitarians, which revealed that food products made with a 50/50 blend of animal and plant ingredients were the most favored. The report, released on Sept. 23 by Nectar found that 74% of participants expressed being either “extremely interested” or “interested” in plant-rich meat options. These products include beef mixed with vegetables like roasted mushrooms, caramelized onions, roasted garlic, riced broccoli and cauliflower. Another high-performing product was a half-beef and half-mushroom blend.
