Mushrooms in the News: 10-02-19
The Tampa Bay Times features a story and video about elementary students taste testing new cafeteria dishes, including several with mushrooms. One 10-year-old student was a big fan, saying: “I just love mushrooms. Mushrooms and cheese taste really good together.”
In honor of Mushroom Month, RD Jennifer McDaniel demonstrated how to make mushroom meatballs on a local broadcast segment in St. Louis.
The Produce News covered the Council’s Mushroom Month campaign and Whole Kids Foundation partnership announcement. Also, Whole Kids Foundation distributed a press release via CSR Wire, placed it on the homepage of the Whole Foods Newsroom and distributed news of the partnership (including a link to The Packer article) in an internal “Whole Foods Markets in the News” newsletter to more than 1,500 top leadership teams.
